Not gonna lie dear Sirens, I was deflated and uninspired by this year’s Paris Fashion Week Fall 2013 ready to wear shows. Paris is normally one of my favourite weeks, but I’ve struggled to fall in love at all. What do you think?
Ungaro had a massive early 90’s flashback – think power dressing at With a fiercely monochromatic colour palette speckled with white on black polkadot.
Stella McCartney opted for exaggerated volumes, pinstripes and elongated skirts.
Valentin Yudashkin made reference to Ice Queens in a pale blue/white/metallic palette and more literally with closing ice gown below.
Not one of my favourite Givenchy collections, with Disney references and sweatshirts, but still entirely wearable none the less.
Clare Waight Keller, the creative director of Chloe, presented a tougher and more uniformed vibe than we are used to seeing at Chloe…I dug it!
The devil is in the detail as it always is with Collette Dinnigan. Can’t wait to get my hands on this finale piece for my celeb clientele!
Australian wonder boy Dion Lee once again wow-ed the Parisians with an effortlessly cool collection every IT-girl will be frothing over.
John Galliano’s newly appointed creative Director, Bill Gaytten made a severe and linear departure from the usual heedy romance and glamour we’re used to. Not sure I’m a fan.
Hedi Slimane’s second collection for the newly reformed house, Saint Laurent, was a dedication to Courtney Love grunge with scowling models, tartan and leather. Yves would be turning in his grave!
